5:05 PM - Matthew 7:7 NIV

This is one of a series of images that I created for Ferguson Christian Church. I'm the volunteer web developer and this year, I've been concentrating a bit more on graphics to help divide the page and direct the eye. I'm not a graphical designer, but I'm learning.

This image I did for practice and to convey the power and relevancy of prayer. In usage, above the image, I added a text header that asks simply "Does God Answer Prayer?" The Bible answers this clearly:

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." -- Matthew 7:7 NIV

I admit that this image is originally taken from the collection of "Sample Pictures" that come with Windows Vista. As such, it is a derivative work based on another copyrighted work.

I edited it entirely in Paint.net. I cropped it and added a radiant blur effect centered on the sun in the background. I played with the color just a bit and then added the text of the Bible verse.
